Here is one of my mixed media sheets, where I used colouring pencils to create the claws and pastels to create the evil eyes, I then used a mixture of paint and pastels for the eye

Here are my four mixed media sheets for the top left sheet, I looked at a ndebelle book which had loads of detailed patterns, where I then decided to interpret the patterns into letters. spelling out the words Africa. For the bottom left sheet I decided to draw different Egyptian Patterns and symbols in each block. I then had to choose which idea out of the two, that wanted to take forward and develop further, where I then decided that the top left idea worked better on a whole.

For this project I had to design a label for a carton or can. The top left design was very successful because I had to pick 2 fruit combination where I then picked guava and pomegranate for my my first combination. I thought this design was successful because I had to scan each one of my fruits in to photoshop, where I then had distort the text, this was really enjoyable because I felt that I had learnt how to use use photoshop.

I did for mixed media sheets of my fruit combination. I used soft pastels, paint, inks, colouring pencils, pen and wash, bleach on tissue paper and masking fluid.

On the left drawing is a portrait of a student in my class. We had 7 minutes to draw with oil pastel. On the right is another student in my class, where we were then given 10 minutes to draw in chalk pastel.

I did 2 pages of Egypt using different amounts of mix media's, such as paint, sand, foam board and inks. I Then did 2 pages of Africa using beads, cut up pieces of card, and paints. I thought the sheets where very successful because I got to use different and new media techniques.

For this piece I painted the background, and stencilled out the motel sign and painted on top.

I used black card, where I then used pastels to create the image. I then stencilled out the text.

The different media's I used on this sheet was pen and wash, and paint for the background. To create the date I used black and a burgundy card and stencilled over the burgundy card.

The mixed media used on this worksheet was paint and pastels.

I stencilled and painted of certain parts of the hair

The idea I had for this sheet was to create the same 3D effect as the original picture, which is stuck down on the top right of the sheet. To create the sky I had to stencil out red card accurately to the same size as the building.
