My artwork takes a critical view on the socio-political and cultural issues surrounding the interactions of North American society and its commentary on current racial tension. This selection of paintings explores the rawness of our authentic reality, the way in which justice isn’t always received fairly. Each one of these paintings are to encourage unity, which I feel modern society is lacking, emphasized by the racial divide that’s being caused as well as being fuelled by political elections and police brutality.

Using medias such as acrylic paint and neon spray paints I hoped to show a diverse combination of colours and textures to emphasize the need of empathy and sympathy that is absence with in the general population. For future developments on my paintings the aim is to experiment with different mediums in the same composition to expand upon the notion of unity and diversity.
